Ebony Violette is a visionary artist, designer and author.

Working across multiple mediums- painting, sculpture, embroidery and film her artwork celebrates the divine feminine form & spirit.

As a Sacred Feminist and Symbolist Ebonys artwork explores themes of darkness & light, calm & chaos, female identity, sexuality, visibility, ancestral & collective wounding, wisdom and healing.

 

Her abstract expressionist paintings are an expression of her own and the collective female psyche. Walking between worlds she is able to make the invisible visible, to take psychic snapshots, transmuting ancient & immediate negative energies into positive healing ones. 

  

Ebony Violette views her slow stitch sculptures as a meditation on love. Loving prayers are infused in every stitch of her incredibly intricate and labour intensive embroidered and beaded artworks.

 

Ebony was born in 1982, Sydney Australia.

She received her BA in Design ( Illustration+ animation) from

The University of W, Sydney, 2004.

She currently lives in country NSW, Australia with her husband and three young sons.
